My girlfriend broke my decades old toaster trying to clean it. I bought this as a replacement. At first I thought someone forgot to put a toaster in the box, as it was too light. Then I discovered the toaster is in fact that light. Then I discovered you have to wiggle the lever and hold it down and curse at it a while to get it to stay down. After that hassle, it makes good toast. However, today I got a bagel stuck in the down position. Pulling up on the lever pulls the whole toaster off the counter. So of course the instinct it to hold the toaster down, which results in severe burns to the fingers because someone (surprise!) didn't think to put an insulated top on the toaster...
