I opened the book and read the first few pages to myself and immediately decided not to read it to my son. It’s simply too many difficult concepts to productively engage a child with, and is written in a style more suited for adults. We read a ton of books to our son and we were really hoping to read more about treating others equally and how people all deserve respect and opportunities in life, but this book just wasn’t the right way for us to spark conversation with a small child.
