The mat deteriorated and got stuck to my floor. It left pieces of itself stuck to the floor. Hopefully it didn't ruin the floor. I'll have to scrape it of carefully and see. The floor is painted concrete that has been sealed for several months which took me a long time to do. The mat was placed in front of the shower to collect drips from the pet water dishes (not as an actual shower mat). Either it's not meant to go on hard surface or be used around water or it's just a crappy product.
