★☆☆☆☆
Well-written boring social sermon
Not a fun read. Very preachy and characters are shallow in thinking and philosophy. Even with new characters there's no serious character development and there's too much smug to enjoy the dialog. Author seems to have lost the imagination to say anything new and is falling back on the latest social justice religious-copycat doctrines and verbiage. With all the violence we've seen lately this reads in the beginning like the rant of a terrorist but it doesn't make any sense as the villains are so shallow they appear as caricatures and there's no catharsis when they go away or die. I'll delete this from my Kindle and pretend the previous book was the last in the series. Good luck slogging through it.
