I was not expecting that...
I was really enjoying the storyline. The push and pull between the two lead characters. It was alluded to early in the story that the female lead’s younger sister was struggling with a sexual issue. She was 14 so I expected the story to progress with discovering that she was a lesbian. Not that “she” was born a boy. Which was not revealed until chapter 26. So that’s where I stopped. I have no personal issue (other than faith based because weather we like it or not, God doesn’t make mistakes) with an adult trying to find peace in their life by changing out body parts. BECAUSE they are adults. I do, however, have a problem with a child being encouraged and led to make adult decisions with their bodies when they have not matured enough to do so. I’ll try a different book by this author but won’t finish this one. We all have a right to our opinions and beliefs but this story line (and the truly sad reality of it in our world) is in direct contrast with mine. If you don’t share my view let’s just respect each other’s choice and you enjoy the read.
