PLEASE READ MY ENTIRE REVIEW SO THAT NEW PURCHASERS MAY GET AN IDEA OF THE POTENTIAL PERILS OF THIS PRODUCT. THANKS! ================================================================ This has saved my life from buying gallons of bottled water! I've tried other water filters but each had too many problems. IMPORTANT NOTE (AND PLEASE SEE UPDATES BELOW): When I first got this it worked perfectly for a few weeks. But then it started to leak. I contacted the company and they immediately sent me a new one, and postage to send the old one back. They were great. Now a few points: 1. The filtered water tastes wonderful. Pure. Delicious. 2. The filter lasts a long time and I use a LOT of water. 3. If you're planning to refrigerate the water, I recommend buying glass pitchers to transfer water into. The plastic pitcher that goes into the dock is kind of big and clunky to keep in the fridge. 4. The machine is noisy. But it filters thru very fast. Really fast. So the noise is not an issue. 4. After you filter, leave the pitcher in the doc for five or so minutes. If you remove it immediately after filtering, it drips a little bit. 5. Make sure you wait until the blue light goes out before removing the pitcher. Sometimes it goes out but then a second later it goes back on. As if it realizes there's a bit more water to filter. 6. Buy a second Aquasana Pitcher so you can always have enough water filtered. I use some in my fridge and then keep some on my kitchen counter out of the dock for making coffee or other cooking, like making rice, soup, etc. 7. Keep a new filter on hand so if your filter runs out, you can change it immediately. 8. This is very east to use. No rocket science required. 9. Before ordering, check the measurements of the dock to make sure you have the space and know where you're going to keep it. ============================================================ UPDATED REVIEW September 28, 2014: The second replacement unit I received from Aquasana has, after just a few months, started leaking AGAIN, this time very badly all over my kitchen counter and floor! This leak is much worse than the first unit that leaked. I have read that other customers have had the same problem and one woman stated she was on her fifth unit! When this Filtration System actually works, it is great! But once it starts to leak it is useless. I have written two emails to Aqausana via Amazon and have not yet had a reply for a new replacement. I am not at all happy that i have not received an immediate reply because I thought I'd give it one more try. If anyone else has similar problems, I would be most appreciative if you would let me know how/if your problem was solved. ============================================================= UPDATE INFO RE: My review of September 28 ABOVE: On September 30, I received the following email from Aquasana via Amazon: "We experienced a 2% return rate for the problem you are describing. The fix is in place, but we haven't received new units from Manufacturing as of yet. We have several options to help provide you filtered water. We can send you a refurbished unit, we can wait for new units or we can send you a countertop filter to have until the new units come in. I'm sorry that we don't currently have a better solution for you at this time, but will do what we can to help. Darren Hilscher" ============================================================== UPDATE RE: ABOVE, Oct 5th Received the following email from Aquasana: "I apologize for the delay in getting back to you on this. Our engineer was out, but built your system today. It is on it's way to you via UPS. " I hope this refurbished one works until they actually build new ones with the leaking problem fixed! =============================================================== UPDATE: Oct 11th I just received my third unit. This one is refurbished but works like new. Hope it stays that way because I love this system. And the Aquasana people are really terrific, try very hard to please their customers! I'm changing my rating to four stars now. ================================================================ UPDATE: December 15th, 2014 The refurbished unit I received in October has just leaked so badly, only ¼ of the pitcher was full, the rest leaked out of the dock all over my floor. I have written to Aquasana requesting A BRAND NEW UNTI but I have little hope this will happen. As such, I will request a complete refund for the System plus all of the additional parts for it that I purchased. Actually, after so many months, I'm furious!
