This "802.11ac" wifi adapter only has the 802.11n radio! What a bold faced lie! Don't get me wrong, it'll work on your 5ghz network but the connection type will be 802.11n. Don't believe me? If you're unlucky enough to have already purchased this then: 1.Press the Start button and type in CMD. 2.Right-click on Command Prompt and click on Run as administrator. 3.On the Command Prompt window, type in netsh wlan show interfaces. 4.Look at Radio type. If it says 802.11ac then yours actually works, however if it says 802.11n like mine then you got screwed! This is absolutely ridiculous, thankfully Amazon gave me a refund even though I had waited past the return date. Yes it will connect to wifi but not at the advertised speeds, so if you're willing to take the chance on paying over $40 for an adapter that doesn't work as advertised then go for it. Otherwise, STAY AWAY!
