This toy is a definite hazard. Very dangerous! Thank goodness I never left my dog alone with this treat ball. She loved it and was enjoying the hunt for the treats but one morning I noticed she wasn't putting it down after only a short time playing with it. It was because she couldn't! The slit on the top of the ball had slipped over her teeth and the whole ball was stuck on her jaw. I could not release it from her jaw and had to rush her to the animal hospital where they had to give her oxygen because her jaw was turning blue. Then she had to be given anesthesia to remove the ball from her jaw. They had to cut it away from her jaw. It was an extremely stressful event for both her and me. Although I would have done anything to save her, the vet bill was very costly and I would not like to see anyone else and their pet have to go through this ordeal. The vet suggested that I warn others of what happened. I will be sending pictures to the company. In my opinion this toy should be removed from the market.
