I wouldn't recommend someone buy one until they work out the kinks
I ordered the Charge HR as soon as I got the email that it was released. I've had it for 4 days now. It's my first fitness tracker so I have nothing to compare it to. Only real positive about it is that it has made me want to be even more active then i was before so that's a positive. I wouldn't recommend someone buy one until they work out the kinks. CONS 1) Apparently I'm taking steps in my sleep according to my tracker. Last night it said i walked 76 steps, the night before 26, and the night before that was 17. I check my tracker before I get out of bed so I know I didn't walk. Even asked my partner (he sleeps during the day due to his job) to let me know if I got out of bed and he said no which I expected. I'm not a sleep walker. 2) Sometimes ill look at the steps counter as I am walking to see how accurate it is. 8 times out of 10 it's counting fine. Problem is sometimes i look at it and its not counting. As in I'm walking several steps (down long hallways) and the steps number is not increasing. Not sure if it freezes or something. But eventually it starts counting again. 3) I ran with it on today for the first time. Heart monitor (hr) worked throughout my run. Each time I checked it showed my hr. But then after my run I started lifting. Checked the hr and there was just a dash where the hr was supposed to be. Went about 10 mins before it showed my current hr again. I dunno if it was because it was kinda of sweaty under the laser but i thought it supposed to handle sweat. 4) Cant get the caller ID to work on it. I tried everything the FAQ section says but nothing works. I have a Samsung Galaxy S5. 5) The screen face sucks. I sit at a desk all day. My screen already has several light scratches on it. No idea how they got there but it wasn't like I was bumping up against stuff. Just regular wear for someone that works in an office. Pros: 1) The app is great. I can see all the stats (if they are truly correct). Its motivating and makes me want to walk/run more to reach goals. 2) Battery hasn't given me a problem. I put it to charge every morning for about 25 mins while I shower (since it says to take it off to shower since it's not water proof only water resistant). Every time I check the batter it says its full.
