I followed all of the instructions when I installed this bulb, allowing it to charge, putting the bulb’s switch in the correct position etc. It was to replace one of the recessed bulbs in our kitchen ceiling, above the sink. But when I turn the light switch OFF, this bulb stays ON for a few hours until the battery slowly runs out of power. It makes a nice nightlight I suppose, but it’s really annoying that I can’t ever turn it OFF! I just have to hope that these lights are turned on for a while before we have a power failure or it will be completely useless, and defeats the whole purpose of my purchase as a backup lighting source when the power fails. For a $15 GE brand lightbulb, I expected it to work properly, as advertised. I’m pretty disappointed and I will not be purchasing these again.
