Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

Ordered this one year and one month ago. 6 feet long to use only at home to charge my phone or iPad. Never misused or abused, or pulled on or anything. Usually charged 1-3 devices per week, so usage is pretty light. But I just noticed yesterday that the white outside layer has worked its way from the head of the cable on the end that goes into the phone (the non-USB side). It has pulled away and surely won't be long till it shorts out. The shorter ones from Apple have never had this issue, and that's with much more usage, in a variety of situations. The Apple ones get a lot of use - daily and much more punishing circumstances. But this one from Amazon just hasn't lasted barely a year under very light usage. It has a one year warranty so I'm two weeks past the date of the warranty, so I'm out of luck. Maybe it's just worth the cost to get the ones from Apple. Usually Amazon-branded items last and are very good, but not this cable. It broke just after the warranty expired.
