Having used Weather Tech floor mats in my cars for years, I was very disappointed in this cup phone holder mount. This unit needs a complete redesign to be effective. Pros: The clamping piece that the phone rests in, does hold the phone securely Cons: The cup mount bracket and the mount that holds the phone itself, does not keep the phone from rotating when mounted. With larger phones the vehicle-road vibrations, a moderately quick stop, allow the phone to rotate forward or when you try to use the touch screen. This problem showed up whether using the extension or not... The cup holder piece itself also moves when place into the vehicles cup holder socket..
