We didn't have a good experience with this with a 2-month newborn and prior experience with other plain-basic tubs
This might be the first time I've left a 1-star review on an item that wasn't physically defective.
We have 3 small kids, including a 2-month old. We were absolutely excited to try this because we've been through a number of various tubs with our previous 2, trying to figure out what works best. The "comfort" height of the tub seemed appealing, too. Then, we received it...
1. It uses 4 "D" batteries to operate the hand sprayer wand and the whirlpool and bubbles
2. This was easy to assemble overall
3. The whirlpool and bubbles Motor is pretty loud relatively speaking for a nice, serene, soothing bath for a newborn
4. The hand sprayer wand water-volume is not controllable and felt a bit too high/strong, again, for a 2 month old newborn
5. The whirlpool and bubbles take away water from the fill reservoir, so if you keep that going, you'll run out of water and need to re-fill and re-adjust the water temperature in the middle of the bath!
6. The hand sprayer wand is about 4 inches too short, in that if you are trying to rinse your baby's head, you'll likely pull it too far that the motor is no longer in the fill reservoir, see #5 above, the fill-reservoir level will be used up by the whirlpool and bubbles that you'll just not ever use them again for the next bath; this was a rare occasion I've heard my wife cuss out loud when we couldn't rinse his head immediately and had to re-fill.
6a. Even still, to rinse the baby's head, the fill reservoir need to be more than half-way full else you'll just suck up air with the hand sprayer wand
7. This was comically the worst newborn baby bath experience we've had
8. You are far better with just any good, inclined baby tub and a small tub of water and a plastic cup
8a. You control the "water-volume-strength" by gently pouring your plastic cup as needed, like old-times
9. There was no added benefit of "comfort" height as the pictures might lead you to believe, this might be about 1" higher than a standard plastic tub
10. The sanitation and upkeep of this (being careful not to get batteries wet), mold/mildew growth potential just makes this not worth it
11. The water-fill-reservoir should be CLEAR so you can see inside of it. It was so dark in the reservoir, we had to use a flashlight to see the MAX fill line
12. I rarely ever leave a 1-star review, but my wife wants me to toss this one to the curb after our experience
