Yes, it works, but...
The first reviewer of this product is right, it's free Wi-Fi and if they are broadcasting, your phone can find them anyways. If you are in an urban area, and need Wi-Fi, simply create a shortcut to your Wi-Fi settings and do it that way. Save yourself the $1.50. If you need the ease, set it to auto seek networks, and it will tell you when you are in range of networks. Otherwise, if you just want to have a cool app that does it, well, have at it.
