Short review: This product does not work. Long review: I decided to order this device because I liked the idea, thought it would work for me, and saw the positive reviews. When the device arrived, I tested the device on three different doors at home. When I installed the device on the door, I tested it by pulling hard on the door knob and saw that the “Brass finished squeeze & slide lock” will jump the “notches” on the “Hammered Black notched bar” that is hooked on the metal door latch plate. Once the door is open enough the bar will fall out of the latch plate. If someone were on the outside of the door and body slammed the door, this device would be of no match and the door would open easily. The device is not well designed. The notches on the metal bar should be deeper to reduce the likelihood of the lock jumping the notches. I contacted the seller twice requesting to return the device for a refund. The seller did not respond. I am out $18.95 + $4.58 for shipping.
