I have had a shark steam mop for years and years, and I usually buy the same exact one, the shark genius. But my most recent one I have had for the last few years is on its last legs and I decided to give this one a chance. Unfortunately though I was not impressed with this one at all. First while I like the fact that you get 2 different shaped pads, that’s about the only thing I like first, the steam that this produces isn’t anywhere near as hot as I have come to expect from my other shark steam mop, not even close. In fact so much so that I doubt it’s actually sanitizing like it’s supposed to. It’s also hard to push around, much harder than the genius. I honestly have no idea why, but I have to put some real muscle into this one, where as the genius just glides. And finally the overall look and feel of this just feels and looks cheap. It’s just not what I have come to expect from shark. So as you can expect, I’m not very happy with this at all. I’m my opinion just spend the extra about $30 bucks and buy the Shark genius. It’s a million times better than this one and I will be switching back to mine. Even my old one that doesn’t produce as hot of steam anymore is still better than this one!
