Nice concept, subpar execution
This is an interesting idea for an often-overlooked issue of collecting Nerf Blasters: where do you put the things once you've bought them? This Blaster Rack looks to address this problem by providing space both for longer and shorter Nerf Blasters, as well as some capacity for ammunition and accessory storage. Before I talk about this product in function, however, we need to look at assembly. Simply put, this item is something of a chore to assemble. The instructions aren't terribly accurate and the parts feel very cheaply made. The mesh net that's supposed to go on the back of the right side is difficult to attach and I flubbed the assembly process at least twice, requiring a bit of muscle to pull apart and correct said issues. The end result is reasonably sturdy though much smaller than expected, and sadly there are other issues as well. The first is the limited shelf depth for the right side shelving, which will only really fit small pistol-type blasters. The second is that however Hasbro sourced to supply the side hooks went extremely cheap on this, only providing a small handful (think 6 or so) of said hooks while there is space for at least double that. Unless they provide a way to purchase these after the fact, this is a serious limitation on side storage potential. Finally, the main blaster rack itself (meant to hold longer blasters) is very awkward to use, especially for blasters with side-loading magazine wells or other "bulging" side accessories. As many Nerf blasters are rather awkward in design, the central storage (which can only hold 5-6 blasters realistically anyway) is very limited. All said, this Blaster Rack is probably 20 dollars overpriced for what it offers and you would honestly be better off with a simple sheet of perforated pegboard (say 4'x4') and some sturdy pegboard hooks than this expensive and ultimately underwhelming product. It's a shame that Hasbro sees fit to keep outsourcing its non-blaster "support" products to such questionable third-parties, especially since their logos are all over said product.
