Please read this before using Flawless on your brows!
I really rarely leave a negative review, but this cries out for me to share my experience and opinion regarding the Flawless Eyebrow Hair Remover. I have always had thick, lush, dark brown eyebrows that are lovely but do need regular shaping, which I've always done with tweezers. Because I've done it for approximately 25 years, it's no longer painful (just a little time consuming). The reason I purchased the Flawless device is that plucking my brows has become more difficult due to my eyesight (I've become progressively more nearsighted over the years). I thought this sounded like a wonderful solution to help me groom and maintain my brows. This is where the nightmare begins. Once my Flawless arrived, I followed all instructions and also used common sense (shaving with the grain of the hair, not against), disinfecting the area before and after using the Flawless, etc. Initially, the results were wonderful and I was thrilled.... UNTIL! About a week later I noticed a multitude of tiny bumps all over my upper brow area that were EXTREMELY noticeable. When I took out my makeup mirror for a closer look, I realized these "bumps" were actually dozens of ingrown hairs (something I never encountered when plucking with tweezers). I tried to gently extract one of these hairs, which came out but not before leaving a large pock mark just below my eyebrow. Within a couple of days, all the ingrown hairs were becoming infected (folliculitis), my upper brow/eyelids were bright red with dozens of individual swollen bumps with what looked like dark brown spots just under the skin (those "spots" were my brow hairs, curling in on themselves under the surface of the skin). I ended up in the dermatologist's office having the ingrown hairs picked out, which left me with multiple large upper brow pock mark scars. I also required a round of antibiotics to clear up the infection caused by the ingrown hairs. I realize not everyone will experience something like this, but I would simply advise caution. As for me, I'll get a magnifying glass and keep tweezing stray hairs. My "Flawless" is now in a landfill somewhere.
