This is an abomination. I've been waiting for this show for over 20 years and within the first ten minutes of the first episode it has become clear that I'll have to wait another twenty. It was always going to be tricky squeezing a book the size of Eye of the World into a single TV season. But what you don't need to do when you have over 700 pages of source material is inject new scenes and new plot lines into it. I truly don't know what the producers were thinking. It's just such soap opera trash. The fundamental changes to the core characters and core plot means this cannot ever progress into something even remotely resembling the books. I wish I could get a refund for my time spent watching it. Thanks for destroying something that has gathered fans for over 30 years Amazon. This is why authors don't like to sell the rights to their work. This is truly the most abject failure of a book adaptation ever committed to film.
