See Spot Run
The writing style is painfully simplistic. Subject-verb-object. Subject-verb-object. It seems 9 out of 10 sentences begins with a name.
"Marco sits down. Marco is tired. Marco is trying to think. Anne gazes out the window. Anne is sad. Anne and Marco sit in silence."
That's not actually from the book, but it might as well be. It's as if the author has no formal education beyond grade school.
The plot is not original by any means. The characters are shallow because they are all described in short, simple sentences. "Anne came from money. Marco did not."
I can't believe I paid $13 for this book. Not worth it.
