I was really looking forward to using this air purifier in my house. I just opened the box today and immediately was hit with an unpleasant odor. I assumed it was the packaging, but once I plugged the unit in and turned it out, it was the purifier itself emitting an awful chemical smell. I have a very sensitive nose, but as soon as my husband entered the room he asked what the terrible smell was. I ran it for 2 hours, but the smell has not dissipated and now I have a headache from the terrible odor. Really disappointed in this product - defeats the purpose of air purification. Definitely not worth the headache. Will be returning
