Buyer Beware:
This device depends on back pressure in the hose to cause it to expand. Designed to mimic male anatomy, the probable outcome is predictable. The first problem is that you can not run the hose a full bore without it shriveling up again. That is why it is sold with a cheap plastic valve and special cheap sprayer that creates back pressure. For most uses, this will be an intolerable degradation of pressure performance, and a back pressure balancing act. For misting flowers on the deck, it may be OK. The manufacturer does not claim that the hose is suitable for potable (drinkable) water, so use on a boat or RV where filling the water tanks is certain to be one of it's duties, is likely risking carcinogenic exposure and a chemical taste. As a wash down hose: am I willing to degrade a $2,000 wash down system on my yacht, to a $200 wash down system, so I can use a $20 convenience hose. The convenience factor doesn't measure up for me. If you go to the manufactures web site, they have a two for one sale. You know they are still making a profit. The cheap manufacturing of the hose that is evident from the pricing, the photos, and commentary of most users: all are warnings. When the shipping and handling is almost half the price of the gross product cost (at the mail order web site, and consider no brick and mortar retailer with free returns will sell it), you should expect that the product is unreliable junk that is uneconomic to return, and the manufacturer expects you, rather than them, to throw it in the trash and eat the loss. The self coiling spiral hoses may excite the sub conscious dreams of virile men, or desiring woman, with flashy videos, but for most applications, a coil hose is better built, will be far more durable, operate at full bore and self compact to a nearly comparable space.
