I want to return this item. I plugged it in and my car battery died. I had to get a jump from a stranger and was stranded on the road in the heat, was late for work and lost money. I thought it might be the product, but was in denial that this would be the problem. I tried it a second time and my car battery died again. This time, I had to get a new battery was late for work again and lost money again- $171.00 for a new battery. Thinking my car battery was old and it couldn't have been the unit, I tried it a third time and with a new battery, my car wouldn't start. WTF! I also smelled burning electrical smell and took it out immediately. It might not be the product itself, but I charge all my phones through the cigarette lighter and have for years with no problems. I waited a minute and my car started again. I am afraid to try the unit again. I wish to use the unit as I work out of my car on my computer all day and need this, but I cannot risk this happening. I want a return as soon as possible.
