This could have been interesting story, but is very overblown. The author was too young and failed to see the many red flags that were evident. Had she been a little more experienced she’d have recognized ‘the great guy who can’t commit.” This is not a man who was interested in wedding invitations or the trappings of a conventional life. That his “secret” is so utterly ordinary is anticlimactic. Bottom line, this is a story of 2 mismatched, privileged people who shouldn’t have married. The writing is florid and every description is over written. It could have been much crisper without waxing eloquent about every leaf. I skipped to the end and that was enough for me. The story does not merit this much thought and detail. I don’t recommend.
