I really wanted to like this as I like strong female heroes. This was a train wreck. As I tried to read this all I could picture was a terrible parody of what a strong female lead was. Bethany came across as a resentful, man-hating grotesque. Trying to read this with the constant wishful and literal kicking men in the testicles to empower women, petulant sexual harassment scenarios and testosterone is bad. It made me envision a stereotypical, angry-feminist complete with blue hair and weight problems. What could have been a great female character was reduced to angry musings of how men are unfair to women,etc. Can I have my money back?
