Not as good as older models
I was about to write a long review and then read Bob C'a 4 star review from 5/27/16. He made all the same comments I was going to make related to comparing it to previous models - the coffee is not as hot and the foam not as good, the 2-cup fill is lower, and the water bin holds less. However he provided a lot of good explanation and a tip for increasing the cup fill level so read his too. I am giving only 2 stars, because these things really disappoint me and I would also add that the machine feels much more rinky dink than $160 should buy. And definitely more rinky dink than the $80 model I bought before Philips stopped making them a few years back. The new price is surely capitalizing on how much us die hards were paying for the extinct machines to get us through the years when no new manufacturing was happening. I'm appreciative they started manufacturing again, but they shouldn't take advantage of us. And if they want to actually build a new customer base and to compete with Keurig and the like, they are going to need to do a lot better than this and or provide a lot better price point. Also isn't the money in selling the pods? I pay $90 quarterly for those. And in my opinion the senseo brand pods are the best most rich coffee.
So this review is perhaps as much a letter to the maker as it is for other customers.
