Not sure where to even start...Does it work, "work" is a subjective term but yes it does blow steam. This unit is marketed towards the automotive detailing/cleaning crowd and if you are serious about your products and your vehicles I would get another brand. This is a very amateur device and the price does not justify the use for me, If I had to do it all over I would have spent a little more and purchased another type and brand. First of all - directions state it holds 40oz. Using distilled water and the provided measuring cup 40oz spilled over the top for me, second time around the 40oz floated right to the lip. This just compounds on top of waiting for the tank to heat up as you have to refill the reservoir more often because a good 10-15% of distilled water will fly and drip out of the nozzle thus wasting more time waiting on the unit. Second: It takes at least 10 minutes to build steam and quickly shoots out around 6-8oz of water and NOT steam leaving a wet mess everywhere - user be warned. When the unit is blowing out water or drips of water it is VERY hot and will scold unprotected skin - again User be warned.... Third: Even when the air is out of the piping, the steam stream is not continuous and makes cleaning with consistency a nightmare, such as steam cleaning a headliner, A-pillar or delicate leather seats. Fourth: The instructions show a few attachments that do not come with the kit; disappointing. One particular attachment is the wider carpet-like brush which is needed for upholstery, floor mats, floor carpet, headliners, trunk liner etc. All you have to clean larger surfaces are the little 1-1.5" circular attachments, not very practical if you ask me. What I did like about the unit and accompanying kit is how the actual unit can house some-not-all- of the attachments, that is a neat little bit of engineering. The accessories try to give you everything you need, but to me it falls on its face at execution. Overall, I am displeased and now have to contact seller about a refund even though the box and wrapping is gone hauled away by the recycle crew, and it was used one time.
