Owned for about 5 months and out of the blue it started disconnecting wifi to only SOME of the wireless devices... after just a couple days it is disconnecting ALL wireless devices and the TP LINK app wont connect to it because the wifi link is dead. Restarting the router fixed the problem but its requiring more and more frequent resets (2-3 times per day) to remedy the problems. Attempted to call the customer support number from the TP link APP... however that number is an international number and my project fi service wont allow me to call it without changing my settings to allow international calling apparently. So i went online using my cellular data and found the 1866 customer support number for the united states 24/7 line and i have attempted to call Tp-Link 6 times over the course of the past 8 hours in attempt to get someone on the line to help resolve this issue or to help start warranty claim process ONLY to have the customer support line be busy each and EVERY SINGLE time i have attempted to call. I tried calling from my wifes phone as well as my own phone, android and apple. I went ahead and emailed tp link support demanding a callback and have yet to hear from them. I checked the firmware is up to date and i did a factory reset on the device and setup as new to see if those would solve my problems. No dice. I disconnected some of my wireless devices to reduce the number of things trying to connect at once and even after reducing device connections by 50% the problem persists. If this is the kind of product support TP link offers i dont think i will be recommending anymore business their way, Nor will i give them another dime. Seriously disappointed and let down by TP - LINK. this has been one of the best routers ive ever had but if its gonna die in a few months and theres no product support you all might as well go buy the 28 dollar chinese knockoffs which will offer similar performance at half the cost... and if they only last 6 months then their longevity/product durability is on par!
