Bad, very bad, WAY too much thiamine
Way, way too high of a dose for fat soluble thiamine.
Here's the thing about why B-vitamins tend to be safer. In their normal, water soluble forms, they are very hard to overdose. They get easily flushed out by the kidneys if you have too much. Benfotiamine bypasses that process a bit by being fat soluble and is harder to eliminate.
Not to mention that this product contains BOTH benfotiamine and thiamine in high doses. This is insane. Thiamine has a specific purpose in the brain. It "greases the wheels" so to speak, for brain cells to use glucose for energy. It does so in a rate limiting fashion. Now, could there be an advantage to using benfotiamine over thiamine? Maybe. It could penetrate into fatty brain tissue better than normal thiamine. However, this dosing is insane.
There also isn't an adequate warning for those with anxiety disorders not to take this. It ramped up my anxiety so bad that I had to go to the hospital. I had supraventricular tachycardia.
Do not buy this product. You don't need this much thiamine, in two different forms, this high. Even those with Wernicke's syndrome don't need this much thiamine. Please reconsider.
