This printer goes into Deep Sleep mode almost immediately after a print job, and then will not "wake up" when you send a print job - I have to manually restart the printer to wake it up. Also, the printer goes offline and won't connect to the my network any time my network's IP address changes (every 2-3 days), and then has to be completely reinstalled. The Brother technician told me that this will continue to happen unless I obtain a static IP from my internet service provider, which is costly and only available for business (as opposed to residential) accounts. The technician said he gets calls about this issue all the time. Yet Brother has no solution, other than to spending 60+ minutes on the phone with a technician and re-downloading software/firmware and reinstalling the printer each time my IP address resets (every 2-3 days). When this printer works, it's great. But it rarely works.
