As described briefly in many of the negative reviews, this book is a thinly failed "historical" articulation of America's complex and continuing maturation from a progressivise viewpoint. Clearly meant to legitimize any and all anti Trumpisms. I guess that one of the authors goals was to provide a feel good reference book for all the accusations of racism, bigotry and xenophobia leveled against President Trump and his deplorables.
