*** SPOILERS - (although the whole season is "spoiled" )Season 2 - as you can see from comments - is just awful. I kept watching, although it does not get better. Who wrote this crap? A story line about a woman running for mayor of L.A. - whose true motives are (I think because they never tell why she is so evil) to control the port so her drug cartel family (brother) can move drugs in, and out. Really a thin plot, and the plot holes are big, and problematic. They may have thought we wouldn't notice - being distracted by the cartel head amputating limbs for fun, and he just happens to be in business with a dude that has an amputee fetish. WTF? That is just one of the silly side stories surrounding Thornton - who gets involved to defend the son of a friend. As always Thornton is great to watch, but NOTHING else in this season is any good. Even the Goliath title doesn't fit the story of this season. Don't do what I did - don't continue watching thinking it must get better - it does not. In fact I would say each episode is worse than the prior episode. They threw this together without much thought it seems - what a wast of a fan base.
