**DO NOT BUY, THEY WILL HARASS YOU ENDLESSLY IF YOU DONT LEAVE A 5 STAR REVIEW**
AVOID THIS SHADY SELLER!
I bought this months ago and left a reasonable review with one issue regarding the spring on it and they have been harrassing me for months to remove it, from multiple emails. So you can trust any reviews of their products because they probably just harass anyone with even a valid knock (I left a 3 star review and kept the product for christ sakes) until they remove it, leaving only 5 star reviews.
I keep blocking the email address and reporting spam but they just reach out with a new email address with a made up name with a generic form email in broken english so its probably just some click farm like company they are just paying to fake their reviews.
I tried to notify Amazon and they wont do a thing about it.
**ORIGINAL REVIEW THEY HAVE BEEN HARASSING ME ABOUT FOR MONTHS BELOW**
Im probably going to end up having to return it because of this spring.
The light itself is great. The housing is metal, everything feels durable. Its a nice soft light that gets very bright or can be dimmed low enough someone could be sleeping nearby and not be bothered. It runs off of a supplied USB cord that plugs into my monitor so really simple.
Honestly Id love it if it weren't for the spring on the mount. I have to monitors, one is a newer IPS monitor that is relatively thin and this thing fits on it perfect. But the spring is so strong it eventually squeezes the top of the monitor and it doesn't have a large bezel so the pressure on the screen starts causing light bleed.
Ok, whatever, Ill switch it over to my older LCD monitor then, its got a bit of a bezel for this thing to grip. Well no, that one has a slight taper. So the way too powerful spring ends up pinching the mount off of the monitor over time. Just squeezes so hard it slides up slowly. And the way its mounted the spring impacts how its adjusted too, so it will start to tilt.
Im going to try using some mounting tape to see if it can counteract the spring but if not Ill have to spring for the more expensive benQ one just for the mount that uses a counterweight instead of what appears to be an automotive grade spring. Seriously guys, just use a half as strong spring and it would work fine.
