Let's clear up some misunderstandings
So here's the deal- if you're like me, you read the negative reviews first. I'll glance at a couple of others, but generally ignore them. For these labels I feel I must clear up some misconceptions and the most negative reviews section seems the best place to do this. 1) How the word 'clear' is used. In the context of this product, 'clear' means no color tint. Perhaps a better word would be translucent, but Avery chose 'clear' to differentiate between red, blue, etc. Think of these as being big sheets of Scotch(R) Magic(TM) Tape. 2) Waterproof: whether they are waterproof or not is a function of the ink used, not the label. Speaking of ink, let me reiterate: these are to be used in an inkjet printer only. Don't even think of trying a laser printer. If you didn't already know this, there is a process internal to the laser printer called fusing where the medium goes through a very hot roller. At the end of the day, these sheets are plastic and they will melt on the roller. Bottom line: I love these labels. Sorry for skewing the percentage numbers.
