My girlfriend and I decided to give this a pre-wash on the day of receipt. I was able to get this item through the wash in-tact; some reviewers have indicated this is a difficult task. However after a short stay in the dryer -- as directed, this wonderful mattress pad actually fused together, proving to be less than useful even after attempting to rip it into a semi-flat position again. I whole-heartedly do not recommend this mattress pad. I will be returning it.
