This is NOT a certified cable!! Check Apple's site on how to spot an uncertified cable!
This cable is counterfeit per Apple's website on how to spot a counterfeit cable [...]. Per Apple, certified cables have trapezoidal interlocks whereas counterfeit/uncertified cables have square interlocks on the USB end - this cable has square interlocks (see picture). Per Apple, the certified cable USB end should be smooth, not rough or grainy and without a dent or retaining divot - this cable is grainy and has a retaining divot (see picture). Per Apple, the insulation on the surface of the USB insulator should be smooth without notches or indents - this cable has notches in the insulator.
The Lightning end of the cable appears to meet Apple's requirements, but I would be VERY cautious here. How can Amazon state that this is a certified cable when it clearly does not meet the requirements to be certified?
