Bends paper at the edge; blade gets dull quickly.
I am so disappointed with this paper trimmer. The blade needs to be replaced after I make around15 cards. Then it starts making ragged edges and I have to use a nail file to try and get rid of all the fraying. It doesn't always work. For me, the worst design feature is that there is a wider channel where the blade goes through the edge of the paper than on any other paper trimmer I've used. The paper comes out with the edge bent because it gets pushed into the larger channel. I have to use a bone folder to flatten it out. One good feature is that the platform extends to the right of the blade. It's good for making narrow cuts of cardstock. I've had this trimmer for six months and have had to replace the blade three times. The packages of replacement blades have two in them, so I've used six replacement blades in six months -- it has cost more than the price of the trimmer itself. I'm buying a self-sharpening guillotine cutter. It only costs a few dollars more than this one. I will never have to buy replacement blades and the cuts with be neater and sharper. I would not recommend this for cutting cardstock.
