I tested our well water with this kit 8 times and each time it showed the exact same information. I followed the instructions explicitly. The test results were total hardness 120 ppm and iron 0 ppm. I intuitively knew that those results were wrong since we have very hard water and also iron staining issues. Next, I had the water tested by a professional firm. The hardness came back at 1400 ppm and the iron at 3.5 ppm. Obviously, this kit is totally worthless and I am out my 30-odd dollars.
