This is vitamin C, not electrolytes
It's really great that this stuff has no carbs, but it's also missing something else . . . . electrolytes! It contains only trace amounts of sodium, chloride, potassium, and calcium, which are the minerals that are very important to replenish if you are sweating a lot working out. Basically this product is a vitamin C supplement (167% of daily value) with a little magnesium, as those are the only two things it really contains besides natural flavors. The amount of sodium it contains per serving (55mg) is enough to replace what you'd lose after about 7 minutes of sweating, on average (500mg sodium per liter of sweat, conservative estimate of 1L sweat per hour-- look it up). And that's if you drink a whole serving, which is 16 ounces (a lot!). The taste isn't too bad, but I need something I can rely on to replace my electrolytes for 6-8 hour bike rides, and this sure ain't it. It's just an expensive citric acid (vitamin C) powder, basically. I'm really disappointed and now I have to go find something else to do the job.
