I purchased this because of the lifetime warranty and it was an amazon recommendation. When it arrived I was concerned about the sticker on the box that said Caution, very sharp edges. I opened the box and while holding it, the handle cut me. Now I’m sure that the warning sticker was meant for the metal surrounding the glass that the company that makes this is just too cheap, or doesn’t care to finish the edges of the metal to make them smooth so that washing this French press would be easier, but I cut myself on the handle. The handle was not ground down at the top or bottom and was “caution very sharp”. I don’t want a French press that I am going to have a difficult time just holding on to. After I tended to my wound, I very carefully put this poorly made product back into the box and returned it to amazon. I reread the product description to see if I missed anything and the description does not mention sharp edges at all. I instead purchased an all stainless steel French press and I couldn’t be happier with it. It hasn’t hurt me at all, no sharp edges on the all stainless product. I would not recommend this French press to anyone. Also the all stainless product was less expensive.
