I cut into 6 styles of terminals that came in my assortment. Despite the claims made in Ticonn's sales literature, I could not find one 12-10 terminal that had a 1mm thick barrel. As you can see from the pics, the barrels are .44mm, according to my Mitutoyo Absolute Origin caliper. I filed through the tin coating and underneath was a shiny, silver metal that was not magnetic. I think these were stamped out of thin stainless steel. "Each terminal features a thick tinned copper barrel"-- They are not thick and they are not copper. "Thick copper barrel ensures strong secure crimping"-- The stainless steel does crimp just fine, but once again, they are not thick and they are not copper. These work as well as any steel terminal with heat shrink, just don't pay for copper that you are not getting.
