Good concept, but does not deliver.
Problems:
1) Jaws do not open wide enough. I measured two of my run of the mill toe nail clippers and they had an opening of 3.5mm. The ClipperPro comes in at roughly 2.5 mm. They jaws did not open wide enough for some of my toenails (don't forget that toenails - as well as fingernails - are curved if you look at them head on).
2) ClipperPro claims "Double Action Force Multiplier". Not really. The mechanical advantage was roughly the same as my run of the mill toe nail clippers. They came in at a displacement of 30 and 32 mm, while the ClipperPro was only 20 mm. By displacement I mean how far the handles move when then jaws go from fully open to fully closed. The measurement is taken at the farthest point from the jaws.
What this means is that my run of the mill toe nail clippers had about a 8.5:1 mechanical advantage, while the ClipperPro was only 8.0:1 (higher is better). This is calculated by dividing the displacement of the handle by the displacement of the jaws.
Note that all measurements were done using a ruler, so these measurements are not as accurate as if I had used a micrometer.
As far as using the ClipperPro, it seemed significantly harder to cut my fingernails than with using run of the mill toe nail clippers.
