I do not understand all of the positive reviews, unless people simply don't care about poor construction or they're so accustomed to it that they've learned to be happy with mediocrity. Bottom line: As you can see if you watch some of the YouTube reviews of this tricycle, the adult control handle moves about 25 degrees in either direction before the tricycle moves. In other words, the adult control (the only reason to buy this product rather than a simple tricycle) wobbles and does not easily control the tricycle. I contacted tech support by email, and on the positive side they were responsive, but in summary, they could not help. I ultimately returned the tricycle for a refund (thank you Amazon.com!), but just the simple act of dis-assembling it was a *huge* hassle. Had I known how hard it would be to take it apart, re-pack it, and ship it back before I started the process, I probably would have just thrown it away and lived with the $70 loss. My advice to potential buyers: If you care about good construction, do not buy this. If you're "flexible" and poor construction doesn't really bother you (and no shame on you if that is the case), then by all means get one. My advice to the manufacturer: Come on guys -- I *know* you can do better than this and I *know* you know what I'm talking about. Even Radio Flyer tech support told me that there would be a 10 degree "slack" in both directions -- in other words, that's the way they built it. I'm an engineer and I can see no reason why there could be *zero* slack in either direction. Can you imagine if this slack problem existed in the car in which you took driver training? In other words, when you made a wrong turn, your teacher would have to turn his/her control steering wheel at *minimum* 10 degrees before it turned the car back into a correct position. But no, in driver training cars, the teacher's steering wheel performs exactly like the student wheel, as it should, and as should the Radio Flyer. I'd think I just got a lemon if it weren't for other reviewers commenting on this problem.
