So, the packaging does say the pan works best if you use a little oil. That's a bit strange fora "non-stick" pan -- but we like using extra virgin olive oil when we cook. But hidden away in the small print of a small "how to use this pan" guidance packet is the warning that you need to use corn oil or peanut oil, which are both relatively unhealthy - and Do not use extra virgin olive oil, which will carmelize on the pan and make products stick. First, this should be noted on the Amazon description and second, this should be noticed on the packaging, and not hidden in the small print. We are sending this package right back!
