Amazon doesn't let me submit a review on this 2019 purchase when I already reviewed the unit in 2017 and gave it 5 stars. I am showing both reviews so you understand why I changed from 5 stars to 1 star. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> 2017 Review: Had a pinched nerve in neck from sleeping wrong - lasted for weeks, couldn't raise head off of chest without incredible pain. Couldn't use this with any pressure at first and used it to lightly knead the neck - took a week to be able to use pressure like the picture shows (using arms to apply pressure). Did the job and saved me from going to massage therapy - pure heaven. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> Edit 11/7/2019...….. 2019 Purchase - what a difference a couple of years makes: 1. Much larger massage unit doesn't cup/fit the neck/spine/sides of neck like the other - like 50% larger and much harder to handle. 2. I read the reviews that said the controls are too high and thought really shouldn't be a problem - yes it is!!! Unlike the 2017 model that had the controls at elbow height, having the controls just below ear is a problem and have to bend the whole arm piece towards you to use the controls. 3. The 2017 model massage was mostly vertical and very comfortable, this 2019 model is circular (like a clock) and not very comfortable. 4. The 2017 model had lots of very soothing heat, this 2019 model - none - no heat at all -- fancy lights but no heat. Even turned heat off on multiple times to have a random test of when the heat came on - after a dozen times, can't tell the heat setting from the no heat setting. Either broken by design, or broken but in either case - no heat. 5. In 2017 paid like $60 plus for this on Amazon, thought that the $30 plus price was a bargain, until I discovered it had been cheapened, changed, and severely degraded in performance. I have had this new 2019 model for 1 day, already have a return drop off at Kohls so thank you Amazon for your return policy on this LEMON of a massager. Hope this helps someone avoid wasting their time and/or money.
