Yada, NADA!
I should have listened to some of the other reviewers about the hardiness (see: lack thereof) this unit in holding up to ANY moisture. I had already purchased a PEAK PKC0RB back-up camera wireless system in April in 2010 that worked ok until recently (unknown failure). The PEAK lasted nearly three years, was crisp (when you didn't get interference) and held up to moisture. At least you could wipe off any rain drops from the camera when you walked up to the car and have a clear backup picture immediately!
Fast forward to the failure of the Peak in January 2014 which lead me to decide to "upgrade" to the Yada, which was $40 more on Amazon and boasted digital sending of the video.
Pros: The Yada does do well with sending a video signal, no interference was noted, which you WILL note with a model like the PEAK which works on a 2.4 Ghz model of sending the video.
Cons: I installed this unit on February 23, 2014. I uninstalled this unit on February 26, 2014. I noted immediately that the 'digital' video picture was not nearly as clear as the peak had been, and was choppy with a slight delay. This lead to a somewhat blurred focus for the camera. I live in Seattle, yes it rains here, but if the PEAK held up for three years surely the Yada can last three days? NADA! Immediately the Yada unit showed ghosting within the camera casing due to moisture, so you could not wipe it off to get a more clear picture. This led to a blurry (see earlier) washed out and foggy picture. I found it easier to look behind me and just hope rather than trust the Yada's picture. After some dry weather today, and the continued fogginess and moisture in the camera, I uninstalled the unit and shipped back to Amazon as defective, because, well, it is.
When I was uninstalling it I noted distinct rust developing on the screws that keep the camera housing together. I also noted some blossoming of the plastic around the seam of the camera unit. It is clear that the seal on this unit is not very good at all. The only way I could recommend this unit is if you intend to never expose it to any moisture, say like living in the desert.
Very disappointed with the performance of this unit, not recommended! Stay away, save your install/uninstall time.
