Beware Aquagear Adds Something to the Water
This is my second purchase of an Aqua gear pitcher/water filter. I bought one back in July and thought that the water tasted pure and way more refreshing than tap water. I was able to even see the difference. I recently noticed that my old filter started filtering extremely slow after around 3 months use which is around half the time I thought it would last for. So just 3 days ago, I purchased a new pitcher and 1 additional filter so I could have more filtered water faster. In the same order, I finally purchased a TDS meter to actually verify if the Aquagear product removed any solids and how much. I just tested the old aquagear filter, the new filter and tap water. The readings were as follows: Tap water= 74-75ppm Old AG Filter= 88ppm New AG Filter= 103ppm So needless to say I'm very perturbed right now. What is AG adding to the tap water? Shouldn't there be a reduction in ppm? Please respond aquagear. I will be demanding a refund for each pitcher/filter based on this knowledge. I feel duped.
