"Outlander" by Diana Gabaldon I got to page 60 and just could not get in to this book. I was really struggling. Yes, I know, it is a romantic-fantasy, but it was just too unbelievable for me. I popped on to Amazon, read the 1 and 2-star reviews and agreed with all of them: basic romance, not much history, a lot of violence and rape. Why did I buy this book? This genre is just not my thing. I decided to throw in the towel before reading another 550 or more pages. To each his own. I should have read the 1 and 2 star reviews. Oh well, $3.99 + tax down the drain.
