This is a compact, powerful jump starting device with excellent specifications and technology. It is extremely light weight, which makes it both easily portable but also more flimsy than heavier-duty competitors. Unfortunately, my unit broke and the manufacturer refused to honor the 12-month warranty posted on their website. The first time I had occasion to use it, about ten months after purchase, the device was dead and would not charge. From pictures I emailed, the manufacturer diagnosed a defective PC Board. The terms of the manufacturer’s warranty state that they will repair or replace defective units during the first twelve months of ownership. After verifying that my defective unit was purchased within this time frame, the manufacturer first offered to sell me an “upgraded” replacement unit at a 50% discount. After I refused this offer and asked the manufacturer to honor the terms of the warranty, he explained that the PC Board repair was too expensive and they would not repair the unit. When I asked them to replace it, they explained that they had no more of this exact model and once again offered to sell me a different model at a discount. I again asked the manufacturer to repair or replace the defective product.. The manufacturer again refused and this time offered me a 50% refund. I requested they either abide by the terms of their warranty or issue a full refund. They refused and over my objection issued a 50% refund. Buyer beware. UPDATE: After I posted this review, the manufacturer emailed and offered to send me a replacement unit if I modified this review. I repeat: Buyer Beware.
