I purchased this can opener because of the Kitchen Aid brand reputation. Unfortunately it is a terrible can opener. It worked fine for about 5 or 6 weeks (we open about 3 to 4 cans per week). Then it stopped working. When we twisted the handle it would catch and/or not turn the blade. It started functioning as poorly as the broken can opener we had purchased it to replace. Safe your money and avoid this can opener. Very dissatisfied and wish we could get our money back.
